Rock School for Girls
Rock School for Girls is a skills sharing program for girls and women who want to play rock music. Designed as a hand-on, D.I.Y. project, the Rock School for Girls program focuses on de-mystifying gear, enhancing confidence and promoting creativity through jamming. Unlike other imitation programs that have sprung up since, Rock School for Girls is not about pushing girls into forming bands, it is not about teaching girls how to become rock stars and it is not about making profit.
Rock School for Girls is a project designed to be 100% inclusive of all girls and women, 100% free of charge and to suit girl and women players of any age and skill level.

The initial Rock School for Girls program was created by Liz Solo, Rhiannon Thomas and Cherie Pyne in 2005. The program has been developed over time due to the input of all the amazing participants and through the care and expertise of facilitators Jill Porter, Kerri Breen and Jen King.
